If you are looking for a quirky series, similar to the old Andy Griffith or Newhart Series', you can't go wrong with the good fols of the fictional Irish town of Ballykissangel. Beware of two things though. 1. If you become addicted to the series like I have, it is still 1 more year till the last season is released on DVD. 2. Blockbuster has problems correctly shipping season five. For some reason, they have shipped a total of five disks, under this title, and I still haven't seen the actual disk two yet. My communications with Blockbuster, total access seem to have been ignored. So, maybe you should only try this series if you have the patience of JOB with blockbuster. But rest assured, it is worth the wait. P.S. On the first disk, plan to view the second episode immediately after the first. The cliffhanger is worth it.
reponding to Marcus H. - Ballykissangel is NOT a fictional Irish town. I've been there and it truly is as quaint as it is protrayed in the show. i love the addition of Colin Farrell to the series - he became a huge star in the USA after this series
