A totally muddled film from start to finish about people living on the side of an active volcano in Mexico and their interrelationships. There is the graduate student and her boyfriend who is working on a thesis about native myths and legends. A peasant man who abandoned his young boy during a drunken stupor and a hermit artist who hardly talks, are also around. Add to this the peasant man's wife who is harassing them with a rifle and it all adds up to a confusing plotless movie that goes nowhere.
