Jake "the Snake" Roberts is one of the most memorable and beloved wrestlers in history. But it was clear that Jake's early years led to his low self worth and fed his continual chemical dependancy. The biography is really honest and shocking. Jake had a very rough life. Jake had a real talent for the psychology of wrestling, but ended up being his own worst enemy by giving into his problems with drugs and alcohol. Ultimately this would ruin his marriage, his career, and his life. Aside from the biography, you get alot of behind the scenes info that wasn't so readily available back in the 80's like it is now. Some of the matches are outstanding. Seeing Jake play both a heel and a babyface so effortlessly is so much fun. The superstars he faced were some of the best in the business. They are alot of fun to revisit. Great set. Perfect to own and watch over and over again.

The stories told on this by Jake Roberts paints a picture of a young man who went through a lot as a child and went through even more as an adult because of that. It's so sad to know that a man that I looked up to as a child suffered so much at his own hands. The extras include some GREAT stories about the dynamite kid, legion of doom, and meeting Dick Ebersol. Only 3 matches on the first dvd including steamboat and rude.
