Member Rating:
Heavy metal masters Iron Maiden bring their legendary act to the stage in the visual companion piece to their live 2005 release Death on the Road. With over an hour and a half of music spanning the band's entire career, this 2003 performance from Westfalenhalle Arena offers energetic versions of such classic Iron Maiden tunes as "Can I Play with Madness", "The Trooper", "The Number of the Beast", and "Run to the Hills". An additional, eighty-minute documentary takes a closer look at both the band and the preparation of the elaborate concert, and with ninety-minutes of behind-the-scenes footage, promotional videos, and image galleries, this release shows that even after thirty-years, the masters of metal are far from slowing down. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Maiden is still completely there and able to steamroller through the night just like they did back in the day. I saw them live in 84 and again in 2004... the stage was not as big and the music not quite as loud (deafening in the 80's) in 2004 as it was in 84 (They had a giant mechanichical Eddie that stretched his arms across the stage then), but they still have it and can give lessons to the slack-jawed , motionless wanna-be's of todays crop of bands. When Maiden kicks you in the Arse, you stay kicked:-)
