One of the more disturbing movies I can recall, IMPULSOS may disappoint if taken merely as the thriller that viewers will expect (given the description). This truly shocking work is in a class by itself. Think perhaps Michael Haneke's "Funny Games," although the two films have little in common stylistically except their insistent push toward transgression. "Impulsos" works as both a genre piece & character study of extraordinarily antisocial behavior. The tale is told very well by first-time writer/director Miguel Alcantud and played even better by Ana Risueno and especially Daniel Freire, who gives perhaps the creepiest, most soulless and inhuman performance I have seen, while remaining completely believable at every moment, including those at work (his profession is among the film's many shocks). By comparison, Hannibal Lecter is an overripe, theatrical ham. You want evil--unadorned yet undeniably attractive? Here it is. The music, too--a kind of jazz/improv--is also first-rate.

This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. The description of what it was about was misleading. BAD BAD MOVIE!!!

I am sorry i even rented this movie they all need to go back and get their money back for the acting classes and the director needs to go back where he is from and try another area of work because he has no ability as a director.
