This was a decent supernatural romance movie that was well acted by Lam and Tse. But unfortunately, the script was weak. The tap dance competition idea for a subplot just did not work. Still worth the rent but low priority.

This movie should have a category of Romance & Fantasy as there's no Sci-Fi quality here. Overall, this is a total tear jerker from beginning to end. Girls should have plenty of tissues on hand for sobbing and guys should have at least one hankie in case their ... "allergies" start to act up. The movie would have rated 4 stars, but the story seemed written more for adolescents. There aren't any movie related extras except four text based bios on the cast and director. However, it seemed odd that Karena Lam's bio was only in Chinese while the others had English versions. The audio is in Dolby Digital 5.1 and there are language and subtitle choices. The one technical negative for this movie was the rapid subtitles. Throughout the movie you may find yourself trying to watch the movie and then constantly rewinding a few seconds to read the subtitles. Overall, if you don't mind feeling like you just walked out of a loved one's funeral, definitely recommended.
