A man who has lost his memory has a new and dangerous life thrust upon him in this comedy thriller. Jake (Cedric the Entertainer) is a janitor who finds himself stricken with a crippling case of amnesia. While Jake struggles to regain his memory and identity, he becomes convinced that he's an undercover spy who is trying to ferret out a ring of underground arms dealers wanted by the FBI and the CIA. As Jake is thrown into the world of international intrigue, he gains an unlikely ally in Gina (Lucy Liu), an actual U.S. intelligence agent who is tracking the same bad guys and develops a liking for the janitor. My husband and I both enjoyed this movie. It is a good action/comdey - reminiscent of Rush Hour or maybe Blue Streak. Good story line - a man with amnesia wakes up in a hotel room beside a dead FBI agent. With one woman saying she's his wife and another saying she's his girlfriend; and one showing him a mansion that he supposedly lives in as opposed to the apartment that the other shows him; and flashbacks of combat; he tries to figure out if he is a janitor or a special forces agent. With a cast that includes Cedric the Entertainer, Lucy Lui, and Nicolette Sheridan, you know the acting will be great. Now, I must admit there is nothing really new here except maybe the Tulip Tours dancers. It's not the best movie I've ever seen, but thoroughly entertaining. Well worth the rent.
