I remembered this movie from when I was a child and wanted to share it with my children. My daughter wouldn't read the book because she thought the cover looked "kooky", but after she read it she fell in love with the antics of Pippi Longstocking. I searched and searched for the movie and found "The New Adventures of Pippi Longstockings", I was sorely disappointed but the kids enjoyed it, (not knowing the original). I found this version at BBOnline and my kids fell in love with it! My husband and I recalled seeing it on TV years ago. We plan to purchase it and add to our collection. Thanx BB!!

This is not the movie that you may have seen and enjoyed in the theaters when you were a kid. The TV Series has voice-overs and is silly and lame; and Pippi appears younger than in the theater version. There is another version called "Pippi Longstocking" 1969, which might be the right one.
