I only rented this because it starred my crush Charlie Hunnam. He currently stars on FX's Sons of Anarchy. In this he's a gay youth being used sexually by a aging playboy. The movie didn't blow my mind or anything.I know tons of gay people. What i really want to discuss is the cop-out of an ending. The two lead characters move to Arizona and pull a gun on a hick for making a homophobic remark. England banned handguns years ago! It's pure hypocrisy!!! And no foreigner could buy a gun here. Also, they are no hicks in Arizona. Arizona is a conservative state and they took a cheap shot at it. Besides the american version is more popular.Which is usually the case when we remake something british.

I've completed Discs 1 & 2, but I can already see that the original UK version moves a lot slower and doesn't have the creative spice the US versions gave to the show and the characters. I was actually troubled during the opening of the first disc because things were moving at a snails pace and the actors were truly weak! By the second disk, they appeared to be stronger in accepting the roles each character portraid, but overall, I'm not finding the UK version half as exciting as I had anticipated.

The actors were good and the dialogue believable and quite cheeky but the main reason I rented this was to see the young Charlie Hunnan, who now plays Jax in the FX series Sons of Anarchy. He was cute then and he's cuter now!
