A must watch for sci-fi fans, and parent and kids alike. The action isn't gratuitously violent but may contain death scenes. And each storyline subtlely teaches morals like justice and compassion and the perils of vengeance. The characters are limited by animation but that is to be expected. The series introduces a new style of computer animation where the people and mecha do not try to imitate real life but instead are caricatures resembling statues in Greek Orthodox churches. There's continuity with the live-action movies' overall plot and technical aspects. Check out the extras and commentaries for insight into the production of certain episodes. The scene with Mace Windu on the tanks is reward enough!
