Absurd movie. I adored Natasha Richardson, which is why upon her death I ordered her films just to enjoy her work again. She falls in love with a convicted murderer in a minute, violates every social worke ethic possible in her effort to clear him, but the WORST were the scenes in her remote cabin. Blood is shed EVERYWHERE, and yet she stays there, and is pretty calm. She is STILL calm after about the third big bloodshed thing, going from screaming hysterically to thanking the sheriff for his help. HUH? Any normal person would be in shock, and she is Carol Calm. The ending was predictable, but even that was botched. A man in handcuffs LOCKED into a police car manages to break out of the car to save the damsel in distress? PLEASE. STOP. NO MORE. She is eye candy and her mother's smile and voice comeout of her lovely face - that's the best I can say about this film.
