Do NOT expect the same quality as "Ichi the Killer"...this is more a very low budget, almost home made looking prequel about Ichi back in his grade school days. If you put your Hollywood mentality aside, and you are an Ichi fan, I suspect you will like this movie as much as I did. The story is entertaining, and after you get past the bad acting, it was suprisingly entertaining! Watch the trailers and interview.

It was like watching a film project by some college students. Some of the plot was interesting as it showed how being bullied led to his explosive rage. But what's up with the erection when he gets violent, and the final "release" after he destroys the bully. Nut jobs for all!
