This movie was pretty good, not great. There are some really cool cave and underwater cinematography (the reviewer that states this could have been shot in someone's pool is grossly exaggerating). Sometimes it seemed a little slow and you never get a great shot of the creature, but a couple were decent. It's only rated PG-13, so I didn't expect a lot of gory creature violence, but don't let that discourage you, lots of people die. I did like the movie overall. The acting was good and I found it entertaining and a little creepy, and it kept my interest for the most part. Well worth a rental.

No matter what the premise in a movie, if it doesn't develop any interest in the characters, it will always be an apathetic experience. Who cares who lives or dies in this story? Not me. Several people in a cave, running away from monsters. Repeat for 1hr longer than you care to watch. The end. A very predictable ending at that.

this is part underwater cavern exploration and part monster flick. don't miss the special features. they are good! after being severely disappointed by "the cavern" (don't waste your time or money) i was wonderfully delighted with "the cave". fun story of a team of cave divers who find and explore a cursed underground tunnel system filled with natural perils and supernatural ones, too! not very impressed with the creatures apperances but the acting was alright, and the plot moved at a brisk pace. i can't help but feel this film must have been based on a novel because the plot makes sense and the characters are fleshed out - unlike most of h'wood's stories. well worth viewing. some cursing and violence. no nudity.
