Not your typical horror movie, slowly but sure the tension keep going up. Though it might feels psychological at times...but how you're gonna react if you met people that's been dead long time ago ?

The Asian horror genre is quite different from Western horror. Asian horror tends to be more atmospheric and supernatural in nature, and paced slower, so if your looking for "jump out of your seat" horror, this might not be for you. With that being said, I enjoyed this movie, although it does have its problems. The atmosphere and location were excellent-the first shot of the "resort" is incredible. The cast is well put together, although it is sometimes difficult to follow the subtitles: be prepared to rewind/pause at times to read the dialogue. It is interesting to watch how the men slowly begin to experience mental breakdowns and paranoia, and the suspense builds throughout the movie. One of the detractions of the film is the seemingly mandatory (in Asian horror) female ghost with long black hair, but I won't say much so as to not give away the plot of the film. Definitely a good pick if you enjoy and appreciate the Asian horror genre.

This was a pretty good movie. Shockingly the horror aspect came from the haunted environment and not a black haired, dead girl dressed in white - even though there was a black haired, dead girl dressed in white. The DTS surround sound created a good environment, despite the fact that many of the better moments occurred when there was dead silence. The Director's Commentary extra was actually worth listening to as you find out how extremely difficult, if not utterly miserable, it was to make this movie. Definitely recommended.
