A multi-faceted war film set in the Russian-Afganistan conflict. A conflict of men and machines, none of which was equal to the test of the terrain or the adversary. Simple people on their own ground fighting with what they had for just mere existence. Elememtary my dear Watson, the stuff of all good war/cowboy conflicts.

It's riveting thoughout. It's everything but a corny war movie. Anybody that loves suspense drama will like this movie.
