This is a story of the Mormon religion, yes, but as someone who hasn't really known all the facts of Mormonism, this was good for me to see. I would suggest seeing it if you have an open mind to things, mainly religion, and if you can learn to accept facts instead of rumors that you hear. The story isn't just about Mormons. It's got a love story, a story of betrayal and recognition; it's an unpredicatble story line, and I enjoyed it thouroghly. I hope all who decide to watch it, watch it with an open mind and open their eyes to things beyond rumors and gossip. I'm not a Mormon, but I now know the facts that they are based on, and not just the things I have heard from third parites!!!

This movie was based on the best selling book series by Gerald Lund. An excellent depiction. It is a story about a fictional family surrounded by true events. If you are not into Mormon cinema, then avoid. Critical reviews are not appreciated by those who truly understand this film and the religion.
