I like Harry Connick -- unfortunately, he is not at his musical best here. He appears to be disconnected from the music, and it looks like he's somewhere else. The comedic segments he shares with Whoopi Goldberg and Nathan Lane are worthwhile, and both Marc Anthony and Kim Burrell perform admirably. Watch behind-the-scenes for "Baby, It's Cold Outside" and you'll note Whoopi was truly freestyling with some great results. The trio of singers on "Auld Lang Syne" are also great. Harry's timing just seems off for several songs and he plays it a bit too fast and loose with tempo. I suppose he was going for something a bit jazzier on Christmas standards, but it lacks direction (he did the arrangements, and performs some original material). The band members are superb, as evidenced in their rendition of "Blue Christmas," among others.
