Synopsis of Taboo: Season 02

Also known as Taboo II, the second season of the National Geographical Channel documentary series Taboo serves up a feast of terrifying, revolting, heartrending, and absolutely fascinating glimpses of "forbidden" and frequently illegal traditions, practices, rites and rituals. As in season one, the footage is culled from exotic locales throughout the world, including China, Indonesia, Mexico, Albania, Togo -- and Baraboo, Wisconsin! Actor David McCallum serves as narrator for five of the season's 13 episodes: "Delicacies," "After Death," "Justice," "Creature Cures," and "Body Perfect." Lance Lewman takes over as narrator for the remaining episodes, which include "Outcasts," "Sacred Pain," "Extreme Entertainers," "Blood Bonds," "Gross Work," "Marks of Identity," and "Initiation." The DVD release of Taboo II includes a bonus episode from the series' third season, "Spirit World." ~ Rovi
