Original disc would not play. A replacement disc arrived promptly. The historic series of hand painted paper sets was the most interesting part of this performance. Gold, gold and more gold costuming was too much. While the voices of the 3 main characters were adequate, I would have preferred other choices.

This is a colorful production of Aida. The singers are good and the costumes are bright. The tenor could have been a little better and Daniela Dessi could do better justice to her lovely voice if she could reduce the frown on her face.

This is a wholly unexceptionable production. After viewing disc1 (Acts 1& 2) I immediately cancelled disc 2 (Acts 3 & 4.). This is opera by the numbers-uninspired and dull.
