I could not take my eyes off this movie. From the very beginning there is a smoldering tension between the main characters, Lana and her brother. The movie carries the suspense very well, and you are just really pulling for Lana, and hoping that things will turn out well for her after all she has been through in Bosnia-Herzegovina and now Chicago. Her Brother is a thug from Bosnia, but he is all she has left in the world, eventhough you have an inkling from the very beginning that he is evil, but maybe he will treat his sister differently, and you hope for that...and the movie plays on this hope. Overall I would say very well-constructed thriller and I highly recommend it.

Okay so you won't feel your human-spirit soar too much in this film, the movie comes in on a bad note with brief moments of contentness at best and ends with the main charactor finally standing up for herself which leaves you with a feeling of relief. What is important in the film is how Lana slowly loses her naivete as she is subjected to degradation after degradation by her brother whom she finally turns against and thus is able to start a new life. The film builds a good bond between the viewer and the main charactor and allows the viewer to enjoy Lana's triumph at the end.
