Until the last couple of minutes of the movie, I would have gone along with the "Big deal, Blair Witch in Afghanistan" review. BUT, the ending makes all the difference in the world. DON'T turn it off until the credits roll, I think some of the bad reviews may have not seen the last minute of the movie.

I'm not much on independent fils, but this movie rekindled my interest in them. It was a great film, the war zone back drop really added to the film. Great twist at the end.

This is a great movie. Very few journalists ever have been to Afghanistan, very few Americans probably ever will. This film takes you inside Afghanistan for a unique look at the culture and the war on terror. I didn't fully realize that it wasn't a realy documentary because I had never heard of the effort. I spent the whole movie mostly believing it was a real documentary. The only thing that gave it away was the lack of intensity in a few moments where you and I would be crapping our pants. Intense, raw, unique and worth seeing. The twist is something you won't expect. If you like this movie, you must see Touching the Void.
