The spudboys return! D-e-V-o opens for Metallica at Irvine Meadows in Irvine, CA. The set is the same set they have done for years, but how refreshing it is to see them do it again. Of course, it is somewhat stripped down of trademark DEVO effects, but the spuds sounded more polished than ever. The videography and sound production were on the poor side, but understand that DEVO were not headliners. Great Smart Patrol/Mr DNA; Blockhead; Urge, and many more! If you don't find yourself screaming "BLOCKHEAD' along with Mark, check your pulse, because you are likely dead. Blockhead made this spud's many eyes water. Q. Are we not men? A. We are all DEVO!
