Synopsis of Mike's New Car

Originally conceived by director Pete Doctor long before Monsters Inc. proved an enormous hit for Pixar, this animated short follows playful beasties Mike and Sully as they attempt to master a state-of-the-art six-wheel drive car featuring all of the latest gadgets. Now that Mike has established himself as a true star in Monsters, Inc and played a pivotal role in solving the energy crisis that plagued Monstropolis, he has decided to reap the rewards of his newfound stardom by purchasing a fancy new car. When Mike's road test takes a frustrating detour and Sully proves that monsters and motors don't mix, the two friends quickly determine to make their way to work by foot for the time being. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
