OK, now that all of the 14-year old film critics have had their say...It's clearly stated below the synopsis that the "Running Time" is 13 minutes. How the other disgruntled renters missed this is quite baffling. With this in mind, it's obvious that this is intended as an animated short. That's what I was expecting, and that's what I saw. I personally find shorts without dialogue to be quite refreshing. I'd rather watch interesting action with music, then have to sit through poorly written dialogue. Aside from that, it was at least somewhat interesting from a conceptual point of view. Personally, I am glad Blockbuster gives us access to shorts like this. While "F8" may not be very memorable, I'm glad I am able to find short films like this.

Fascinating and sophisticated. Well worth watching a few times back to back. Won the 2001 Siggraph Computer Animation Jury Ward, earned Best Animated Film Short at the 2001 Hollywood Film Festival, won the Animago Ward, and won acclaim at the Arcipetago Festival, the Ars Electronica Festival, the Kudzu Film Festival, and the Japanese Digital Animation Festival. A cyberpunk gem not to be missed.

I thought this was a total waste of time and a waste of a movie rental. Fist off, its only 13 minutes long!! Second, there is no dialogue, which makes me curious as to where the story comes from. There is more given in the few lines of the synopsis than the movie even comes close to hinting at. It took me a couple of views to even understand what was going on!! If they would of added more shorts to the movie, it would of been better. The animation is decent, but nothing that hasn't been seen before. It was a decent concept that just didn't carry over on the screen. Some dialogue would of greatly added to the movie. Its a bit hard to figure out what is going on, especially at the end.
