This is an engaging teen sci-fi soap opera that is interesting and very well done. The subplots of this series are engaging without being exasperatingly drawn out like the background settings in an 18th century novel. However there is a character, Tess, predominately shown in season 2 that I don't care for. Don't ask why, I just don't like her and she is not the "love to hate" type of character that one expects out of the best soap opera villians. There is not much in way of tragedy or comedy in this show. The acting is done well, not excellent but very good. The type of people who would enjoy a show like this care more about how interesting and well done the plot is than however many superfluous action sequences the producers can fit into the scenario.
