Rap singer Eve was the eponymous star of this stylish sitcom, which went into production under the title The Opposite Sex. Eve was cast as Shelly, a Miami fashion designer who ran a thriving business in partnership with her gossipy best friends Janie (Natalie Desselle-Reid) and Rita (Ali Landry). Ever searching for a lasting romance with "Mister Right," Shelly was convinced that she had found both in the form of J.T. (Jason George), but her friends were not as easily won over.
