Businessman Larry Burrows (James Belushi) has a wife who ignores him, a screwball friend who won't leave him alone, and a car that continually breaks down. All that and more is enough to give him a mid-life crisis. After his car stalls once more, he enters a bar looking for help and encounters a bartender (Michael Caine) who shows him what his life would have been like, if he hadn't struck out in a baseball game back in high school. ~ John Bush, Rovi

Along with Doc Hollywood my favortie lame PG-13 80's comedy. It gets you thinking, it's funny, it's a cute love story, and Micheal Caine is great. Never liked James Belushi until this movie where he did a fantastic job. Also of interest are the large number of future big stars in it which is worth the rental alone. Great one to watch with your kids (adult situations are very minor). The ending is classic.

Well acted and great storyline. Gives you something to think about in your own life. If I only did this....If I only did that....

I like this type of movie that explores what your life would have been like if you'd done things differently. It's not just mindless entertainment but it teaches a lesson that makes you a better person after watching it. It's not as good as "Family Man" and Jim Belushi is not as likeable as Nicolas Cage, but it's still pretty good.
