It was great to see what originally hooked us into STNG again. We were diehard Star Trek fans and thought that they could never do it again as well. We forgot how much the characters had evolved in the series over time. For a new show, it was actually fairly well done and had good story lines. I didn't like Trois outfit on the first episode but they fixed it by the second episode. I was great to see Lt. Yar again. The part I didn't like the most is that we decided to introduce it to our son because we thought it was fairly clean but forgot that the second episode is where Yar finds out that Data is "fully functional" and an episode on Disc 2 had a world where everyone engaged in gratuitous sex all the time and it was like playing a game of tag so that kind of ruined it for us. So consider this one PG-13 if you have young kids.

I took my seven year old son to see the new Star Trek movie over the summer and then spent the following week watching all the old Star Trek movies. He loves the Next Generation series and especially Lt. Commander Data who just absolutely intrigues him. Thank goodness I've been able to pass on to my son an absolute appreciation for the Star Trek Next Generation Series and thanks to Gene Roddenberry for making it all happen may he rest in peace!

A fine continuation of the phenomenon that began in the original Star Trek series. Good stories, interesting characters, good acting and special effects. A must see for Star Trek fans and really all sci-fi lovers should watch this.
