I don't remember any filipino movies that ever got my vote. Most of them (drama, usually) are too long, too loud, a lot of crying and shouting. This one really blew me away. Good casting, good acting and good story...puts this movie alongside movie classic films like Cinema Paradiso. A sweat and endearing movie that will surely touch your heart and shed a couple of tears.

Being American and married to a Filipina, This would be the best Filipino movie I had ever seen. It is really good and I want to own one now!

The conclusion took me by surprise as I never saw it coming because it has not never been done before in the Philippine movies. Truly an original! Excellent storytelling and performances. Too bad I heard that Filipino moviegoers overlooked this movie in favor of the other one shown at that time, which actually turned out to be a lousy one.
