It's what you expect with a Made for TV movie. Everything is slightly watered down, especially when you compare it to the novel. Not close to what you would get from "Wall Street" but comparable to "The Boiler Room".

It wasn't funny enough to be a good comedy, although some of the bits were good. And it didn't give you a good enough idea of what was going on to be a documentary. Characters uniformly unlikable even though they tried to white wash Garner's. Biggest problem was that it was dated. This is all old news. And it was done before the long term implications of buying up companies at prices that exceeded their value was obvious. Basically this was a large pyramid scheme where you had to keep finding investors dumb enough to raise the last inflated price.

you american dreamers are completley outta touch with the reasons why we consume filth on a daily basis. My fda once said I was on the way to well ness but we need side stepping films like this as well as theses legalized slow death merchantiles to keep away the predators from attaking the water supply and ...ways in which a deathbed consumer can rectify the misery the est. set us with. Viva america and n.w.o. But hey thats freedom. Decent "movie" though. Where was phillip morris in all this? Waitng outside the property rights courtroom, with an army of trademark professionals cocked and loaded? Go DODGERS!
