Ok... This is not a film; it’s a DVD equivalent of an interactive role-playing novel. A Human Fighter, an Elf Mage and Halfling Rogue are on a quest to stop a Lawfully Good Cleric who's been duped by a Lawfully Evil Cleric from obtaining an evil weapon of immense power…. So far sound like fun right? Over 900 short digitally animated sequences, leading every so often to a choice to be made with the remote control, resulting after about 90 minutes in one of four possible endings. Great CGI makes this a fantasy that will pull you in. I really enjoy this DVD. I highly recommended to any D&D fan or anyone who enjoy fantasy.

I know die hard D&D fans always have high expectations to their favorite genre. much like trekies & trekers, but this DVD-N you dont need to learn any game rules. a great introductory to such gaming. my mother "bought" herself this after playing it at my home and she use to hate fantasy stories. plus 2 of my co-workers when I told them of this. more such DVD-N's need to be made. give it about two more D&D movie/novels/games and the youll see all these die hards change their views saying this is the mother of the great ones. you can find it cheaper and brand new to buy over this current "maybe used" blockbuster price $21.99 (sorry blockbuster) at almost any movie specialty store. but thank you blockbuster for giving us the chance to try this out!

We were looking forward to checking this interactive DVD movie out. This is a novel concept to us. It was fun. Interesting story, nice animation. Having the movie take different paths depending on our decisions was unique. We had fun watching the movie over and over answering the questions differently to see how differently the story evolved.
