IF you were into the CBGB's punk rock scene in NYC in the late 1970's, and remain devoted to the late ex-NY Doll Johnny Thunders and Richard Hell (originally of Television, joined Johnny in the Heartbreakers, then went solo), then you might be fascinated by this indie film which gives them (and Heartbreakers' late drummer Jerry Nolan and Ramones late bass player Dee Dee Ramone) real acting roles. Late beat poet Gregory Corso is excellent in the role of a cheap hotel clerk, Rockets Redglare shines as an evil landlord and lanky actor Richard Edson (the only cast member who went on to do anything in Hollywood) is believable as a homeless con man. Laugh-In alum Judy Carne also cameos as a homeless drifter. CAVEAT: If you really don't care about these performers, you are NOT going to like this film because it's a morbid pointless tale of a woman's unredeemed descent into homelessness and death. It's also on the borderline between a film school project and semi-professional indie work.

This is basically a DIY art film. Though ambitious & some frames show potential but other than its NYC-time-capsule aspects, this movie is just not very good. For serious fans of the period only.
