This is a personal tale, told on a small scale and low budget, by top actors. Director Roth also wrote the script based on his personal experience, the murder suicide of his sister and brother-in-law. The characters are brilliant, but best of all, John Ritter is the detestable, vile brother-in-law, his last real movie before he died. Nestor Carbonell reprises his role as Jack the Dog from the earlier movie by the same name. This is a story of personal loss and growth, not an action-adventure film. It was well photographed, scripted and produced on a small budget. A nice story. I liked it.
