Returning to Malibu to be with Sharon during treatment, Ozzy ventures out to buy wood and inquire about a permit so that he might build a fire on the beach for his ailing wife. As the parents remain together for some quiet time alone, Jack prepares for a guest role on Dawson's Creek and Kelly heads overseas for a European tour.
