This fun light-hearted movie will have you rooting for the small town girl, booing the sneaky British ex, and laughing through Collin Firth's dance scene. The actors are brilliantly cast in their roles. Who gets the guy in the end? Will it be the nice hometown girl or will it be the smug and snobby character played by Minnie Driver? You'll have to watch to find out.

The romance of this film would fly without the sex except the humorous chemistry (no actual footage of their privacy!!) that took place between the Inn Manager couple. That was funny! The best part of the film was the "beauty in the eye of the beholder" and in the faces that the artist placed on paper. A beholder's eye can make a guy whose face "looks like road kill" be handsome.

What a pity. With such great actors the story plot was flat and not really funny. Shows that have a poor story plot will at times bring in the sexy parts trying to mask over the terrible writing. Too many loose sexy parts, not enough plot, and flat for laughter. We gave it 1.5 stars.
