This sad story is almost painful to watch; it's easy to forget you're watching actors. Fortunately, the most painful scenes are emotional, not graphic. As a side note, the movie has a great 70's atmosphere--the clothes are pure retro.

I rented this because it was a true story and I guess I wanted to see how a father could actually torture his own child. It was very disturbing to watch and yes it was more emotional than graphic. It was not an uplifting movie at all, you will be sad after watching this one.

this movie was interesting and sad but I wasn't very entertaining. so if you rent this than you will it's kinda like a lifetime drama where you learn more about the true story. overall i thought the movie was okay but I probably would never see it again.
