So far as the press was concerned, the British game show Quizzlestick had all the makings of a hit. True, the basic game, involving complex Q&A sessions, spiral scoring rods, and tactical strategies, was deemed by some to be confusing, but the contestants and the studio audience had no trouble understanding what was going on. The project was co-created by Adam Buxton and Joe Cornish, with the latter doubling as host. Alas, after its initial episode in 2000, the executives at Britain's Channel 4 failed to pick up Quizzlestick for a weekly run. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
