I liked this movie very much - the Mr. Rochester is sort of mild but very close to the book and not the drama of Timothy Dalton. The Jane is very good and sort of plain. but a good adaptation from the book.

I loved this movie! If you're a fan of Jane Eyre, you need to see this version. The actress who played Jane annoyed me sometimes with her bad acting. But I loved the actor who played Mr. Rochester. A must see for all 'Jane' lovers!

The first disc of this Jane Eyre does a pretty good job at describing her earlier life but goes downhill from there. There is no reason for the attraction of Jane Eyre and Mr. Rochester given. No stolen glances, no real conversation, nothing at all. . Its so stiff and formal.. It was like 2 people reading cue cards. The first disc was so bad I almost didn't watch the second. However, I am glad I did. The later parts of disc 2 finally show the emotional/romantic bond of Jane and Mr. Rochester. The only thing I was really disappointed with was the potraying of the crazy wife. Not crazy enough! This Jane Eyre is stiff and formal. Its not the way I would want to experience Jane Eyre. Its one of the worst I have seen.
