Hoping to attend a sale at Stacy's Department Store, Lucy (Lucille Ball) ducks out of work by fabricating a story about being seriously ill. Unfortunately, the ruse blows up in her face when she shows up at Stacy's and is promptly lauded as the store's ten-millionth customer. The trick now is to prevent Mr. Mooney (Gale Gordon) from seeing Lucy's picture in the paper.
