Oasis is a true love story, though it does not take the form of any love story you have ever seen. A misfit, rejected by his family and most of society, falls in love with a young woman with Cerebral Palsy after a rather ominous first meeting. Used and neglected by her family, she finds refuge in him. Her performance is incredible, absolutely phenomenal. See this, especially if you like foreign films.

I didn't enjoy this movie. The story is about redemption for past events, but it turns twisted. Some people may see this as romantic but it gets somewhat distrubing, bordering on sexual assault. The storyline builds up slowly, but fizzles with a bad ending. The acting is good, but the story is not.

I lived in Korea for several years and seen many Korean movies and none I liked better than this movie, and none show the culture better. This is a story of a screwed up guy who tired to rape a girl only to find himself caring for her deeply. All people need others, and need understanding, this movie shows that very clearly.
