Without a strong sense of sensuality. Not a lot plot. Not enough skin to make it worth putting up the the ponderously slow plot devoid of dialogue, Friday Night is best suited as a sleeping aid or background for the night when you want to finish that book.

And Shakespeare thought he had written the book on "Much Ado About Nothing"! A demonstration that women, too, can "love 'em and leave 'em" is only slighly more interesting than watching paint dry. Claire Denis should stick to political themes.

Standard french film, they think if you have enough directing you don't need writing. Well there you go, two hours and nobody has anything to say or do. Sit in a coffee shop and stare at people for 45 minutes, or watch this movie, whatever suits you more.
