Really really bad, ...even wretched. Ridiculous story with ridiculous characters. This was a cross between The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert., Guardian of the Realm, and the Power Rangers. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Alert for lovers of unusual Vampire movies: check out BLOODY MALLORY, a nifty little French brioche made with equal parts butter and blood, satire and action, charm and chutzpah. It may be the first vampire film I'd call adorable, but there it is. Wonderfully cast, cleverly plotted, and short and sweet enough not to wear out its welcome, the movie bounces along on all four cylinders. Sporting a nice sense of politics and sociology, it involves us with a ghoul killer, her naughty ex-husband, her team of a glamorous tranny and a body-hopping mute plus His Holiness, the Pope (who is put to good use, though the Vatican might disagree). Olivia Bonamy makes an ideal Mallory--trim, fit, funny and pretty--and what a treat to see one of France's finest young actors Julien Boisselier ("Clara et Moi," "J'me sens pas belle") in yet another addition to his growing gallery of very different, very well-played roles. This one's a surprise treat that I heartily recommend.
