Synopsis of Lady Bird

President Lyndon B. Johnson received loving support and critical advice from his wife Lady Bird Johnson. This PBS video recalls their lives together during his years in the senate, following President Kennedy's assassination, and while the Vietnam War raged on. Segments also review Mrs. Johnson's early years growing up in Texas and her later campaign to "Keep America Beautiful." Lady Bird Johnson also shares some youthful diary entries and speaks warmly about her husband and what it was like living in the White House during the turbulent 1960s. ~ Elizabeth Smith, All Movie Guide
