Bruce Lee: A Warrior's Journey (2002)
Member Rating:
Bruce Lee was inarguably the greatest martial arts star of his generation, and his intense onscreen charisma and astounding fighting skills make him the standard by which other martial arts heroes are measured. Bruce Lee: A Warrior's Journey is a documentary about Lee's life, career, and untimely death, which uses rare behind-the-scenes footage to paint a portrait of both the star the world knew and the man behind the image. Bruce Lee: A Warrior's Journey also includes rare, recently discovered film shot for Game of Death, the project Lee was working on at the time of his death. This documentary marks the first time the surviving Game of Death material has been assembled according to Lee's script notes, in an attempt to honor Lee's ambitious intentions for the film. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

It's broken up into a few different parts.. 1. Intro, 2. The Journey, 3. The Struggle, 4. Game of Death, and 5. The Footage. True it doesn't speak much about his death, but it speaks heavily on other topics. I'm a newbie to details on Bruce Lee and I felt that this gave me some great info and now has me interested in renting his actual movies. It contains a nice chunk of footage ("the footage") from Game of Death that was supposedly never seen before. I've never seen Game of Death so I can't say whether or not its in the actual movie, but I can't imagine that this footage could have been left out and the movie be worthwhile. But as it said in this film, this footage wasn't available at the time. Now on to.. Fists of Fury, Chinese Connection, Return of the Dragon, Enter the Dragon, and Game of Death.

The reason why i wanted to see this documentary was to find out how the legend dies. But this documentary talks nothing about his journey. it has extracts from many interviews which does not tell the complete story of his life..
