Do You Believe in Miracles? The Story of the 1980 U.S. Hockey Team (2001)
Member Rating:
In what some sportscasters call the number one sports moment of the century, the U.S. Hockey Team amazingly beat the Soviets by a 4-3 score in the 1980 Lake Placid Olympics and took the Gold Medal. This program looks back at the event, referred to as "The Miracle on Ice," and shapes it into perspective today, 21 years later, through footage and interviews. Featured in the documentary are U.S. players Jim Craig and Mike Eruzione (who made the winning point), U.S. Coach Herb Brooks and Soviet players Vladislav Tretiak and Boris Mihailov. The team was so renowned for its feat that it appeared on a commemorative box of Wheaties in 1997. ~ Rovi
