Based on Willa Cather's novel of the same name, The Song of the Lark follows Thea Kronborg (Alison Elliott) throughout her youth in the farm country of Colorado. Desperate to sing, Thea starts out in the confines of her father's church. Despite the doubts of many, she feels singing is her calling in life, and works steadfastly until landing a chance to perform in New York City.
