This title and subtitle gave me the impression I was renting a video about ancient people, their religious ideas and how they believed them as their own science and possibly how science today proves or disproves that. I rented thinking NOVA and or PBS style. I began watching with an open mind.......even through the UFOTV previews.......I soon knew I was in la la land. So IF you read and believe your horoscope, have a strong belief in UFOs and enjoy the idea of past past past past lives then this is for you! If your ideas are grounded in truth and science or conversly in some sort or mainstream theism I would avoid this nonsense. As an alternative I would suggest Growing up in the Universe by Richards Dawkins.

The "theory" presented in this film is interesting but there are no outside sources for information beyond the theorizing of the Dr. whose research this film is based on. The film, and apparently the theory itself, chooses pieces of ancient myths and traditions while ignoring their context and contradicting information and builds a house of cards. There are no opposing viewpoints presented or really any dialogue at all - just the narrator spoon feeding the "facts" that fit the "theory." It's a weak theory and a weak production.
