The Sharpe's Series are EXCELLENT. The books are better but the movies are really close and correct.

The Sharp series has the potential to provide the Irish an adventure series rivaling Dirty Harry, Die Hard, Maverick, etc with good plot, actors, and reasonably good writing. The crucial action scenes are less then spectacular limited by production.
