This movie was okay. My child was not very interested but would look up when something catches his eye. I rented it again now for my 4 month old baby but my four year old found it refreshing and the foreign language in video was interesting to my 4 year old.

This is such a great movie for your toddler if you are trying to teach animal names and things of that sort. It had my 2 year old totally mesmerized for over a week of watching it (then I had to send it back). It goes over a lot of the general animals your kid will see on a day to day basis and reinforces all names with the sounds the animal makes, a cartoon drawing of the animal, lots of actual pictures of the animals and even some video clips of the animals moving about so your child get a VERY COMPREHENSIVE teaching on all the animals - not just repitition of the names or anything boring like that. The movie also has interspersed humor to keep your child's interest - not just all teaching. Totally for all small children.

Out of the 8 or 9 Baby Einstein videos my 6-month-old daughter has watched, this is her favorite. We can watch this over and over. They group the different animals by habitat (e.g., animals in the backyard, animals in the river, etc). They show the animals' foot prints, sounds, and looks. There are a lot of colors and fast-paced music. It totally grabs my baby's attention. We have a lot of fun watching this. (I didn't rent it. I own it.) Highly recommend.
