When you view a "classic" you know it's going to be very good. My expectations were exceeded. This portrayal of a young Jewish girl inside a Nazi concentration camp was terriffic. Lots of emotions and counter emotions made this film a complex blend. Not too much so to follow, however. One of the best films I have ever seen.

This movie exemplifies cinema as an art. The story portrays survival in the face of the unspeakable horrors in the Nazi concentration camps and part the victims play in choosing how they will respond to the life and death choices with which they are confronted . The whole production from the directing, the script, the music and the acting are perfect.
